Timely Morsel: Mountains
Written May 12, 2026
Mountains with their finger-grip indentations, river and wind. Out of the grip of phone and road, the sharp cap at the top snags the thread of my attention. And pulls pulls pulls. Indigo to ruby, bright filament. In the heavy heavy world, like a suitcase with a zipper strained and handle awkward angled to the hand, one compensation is the variety of sharpness, the mist-enshrouded, the laughter of high-top snow when the lower ground is steaming. Mountains make blessing of the smallness and release of breath held without knowing.

I’m so moved by your mountain top poem!! Exhilarating!
